Mitosis is NOT the splitting of cells
It is the splitting of "pairs of chromatids' and the creation of 2 nuclei
corrections:
-Centromere
-Telophase
Mitosis Stages
Prophase (Appear)
Metaphase (middle)
Anaphase (apart)
Telephase (Two)

3.8 Asexual Reproduction
-Natural
EG Strawberry plant
-Develops sites stands-2nd stem
-where the 2nd stem touches the ground, the cells specialize into root tissue.
-therefore new stems with new leaves develop (so forms another plant)
-those plants are genetically identical.
-they are cloned
-Artificial
-cut off a side stem off a plant
that is your "cutting"
-dip your cutting into "root powder" which contains plant hormones. this forms roots
-Take the plants and put it into soil, it will start to grow
-again this new plant is "cloned"

3.7 Using seed food stores
-In a seedling the foods stores are kept in the 'Cotyletons'
-A seedling requires H2O, O2 and a high temperature
-Food stores are used to promote the growth of the "embryonic root" (radical) and the "embryonic shoot" (plumule)
-Nitrates phosphates and other minerals absorbed through root to promote growth of embryonic plant
-this continues until the plumule breaks through the surface and can start using Photosynthesis
