2.75 Urine

The removal of Urea is apart of the process Excretion of Metabolic waste

The composition of Urine varies depending on the
conditions that a person is operating

2.74 ADH

DEHYDRATED:
If the blood contains too little water (indicating dehydration) then more ADH is released. If the blood contains too much water (indicating over-hydration) then less ADH is released into the blood stream

a    It’s a hot day and Billy has been exercising. Outline the events in the osmoregulation of his blood composition?
1. Hot day you sweat
2. Sweat is made of salt and water
3. Salt and water comes from blood (blood is concentrated)
4. The blood circulates through the brain
5. Hypothalamus dectets that the blood is concentrated and needs to dilute it
6. The brain sends a signal to the kidney (ADH) telling it to dilute the blood
7. The ADH opens up more pores in the collecting Duct allowing more water into the blood to be excreted by sweating

Cold Day
1. Less ADH in your system because the blood is dilute not concentrated
